We Met

Early dating days of couple

Her

First meet: I remember it was a Sunday evening either the 8th/15th of June 2014, do not ask me how. A friend did a brief introduction.

The second meet, was at LVCU praise night. I was in need of water and approached a gentleman and guess who it was? You got it, He did not remember my name, LOL but he looked so good, forgiveness was his. Returning back to my seat, I noticed he was the piano man (my ovaries), I guess I knew right there that HE was the one, did not tell him though.

The third meet was at the supermarket, to think I’d Carpe Diem on seeing him, but no I was the speechless and nervous one, thank GOD He did the talking and hey we are here…

Him

First meet: While I do not recall the date, I remember the dress she was wearing, it was the floral dress that stuck with me, well Her in the dress. I was briefly introduced to her by Hope Uwa a friend.

The second meet, was at LVCU praise night, rather short a meeting but I fall my hand as I did not remember her name or I mixed it up, called her Mary instead of Martha.

The third meet was at YEM YEM supermarket and you know what they say; the third time… she was charming too. I asked for her contact, the rest is history but we made it …

We fell in love.

She said yes

Letting you in on our little secret; before he proposed with a ring in 2021, he had verbally popped the question some years back, guess you know the answer and we have been committed/engaged to one another without a physical symbol.

On Friday the 26th of February, we had planned to go out on a date(which he had canceled the week before). I had an idea that something was up but I wasn’t going to get fixated on whatever it was.

Enioluwa had informed my mum earlier about his intention to propose and I remember all my mum could talk about the night before was marriage. That morning, she couldn’t hold her excitement anymore so she blurted it out. I was not surprised, we have been actively talking about marriage.

The proposal was beautiful and intimate. I said “yes” again. I am grateful he was able to do just what I had imagined.

We have seen where God has brought us from, we see where we are now and we know where he is taking and through it all we have and trust God in the process.

We see kingdoms and territories taken for GOD through us and lives blessed as a result of our union. We see Christ revealed through us, this will be the emblem on our hearts as a testament to God’s unending faithfulness to us.

It is unending joy, it is perpetual peace through the chapters, it is God all the way !!!
